About the event
How do we know what we know? How ideas spread and what communicators should know about getting new ideas into the conversation.
From healthcare to education and even in agriculture, everyone seems to be an expert. How should professional communicators think about what people know, and why they are so quick to defend their knowledge even when it is limited?
Our guest is Vance Crowe, Bayer Crop Science’s Director of Millennial Engagement. Vance is a former Communications Strategist at the World Bank and a former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya. In his current role with Bayer (formerly Monsanto), he regularly addresses college programs, scientific societies, skeptics communities and agricultural programs. He’ll share engaging stories about what he has learned speaking to more than 90,000 people in the last four years on complex topics like genetic engineering and the value of modern agricultural science and technology.
Consider a unique way to think about how ideas spread and have a conversation about how social media is changing.
